Sinking down in silence all I feel is the weight of the current as it shifts
In this endless black that finds itself wrapped around me as I now drown
Echoes call to me of what once was from a place that no longer exists
Lost beyond the veil I’m just dragged down by a longing to be found
What life is there in a world that’s become an endless abyss?
Tied to these machines that feed on our dreams are we only designed to bleed like this?
Oh there must be more to life but I can’t find my way
If we all have our grave in this then I will die displaced without a name
A chill that forever burns in me as this blood black sea continues to heave
I reach through but the cold steel that I find just keeps me stricken here in place
All is washed away by the pounding waves that forever pull and swallow me
Down into the black of the desert’s formless dark cold embrace
What life is there in a world that’s become an endless abyss?
Tied to these machines that feed on our dreams are we only designed to bleed like this?
Oh there must be more to life but I can’t find my way
If we all have our grave in this then I will die displaced without a name
Lost in a world I don’t recognise
I long for what I can never find
And through the passages of time
Without a name is how I’ll die
